today, 8/8, a fire is reported on the 88th floor of WTC 1.
Nearly 90 firefighters responded to a fire on the 88th floor of 1 World Trade Center Wednesday morning, fire officials said.
The fire was reported to the FDNY just before 7:45 a.m. and is ongoing, officials said. The size of the blaze wasn't known.
No one was inside the building when the flames erupted.
It wasn't immediately clear what caused the blaze.
