I smiled thro' these - wonderful shots - the captions added spice
ReplyDeleteNice one aferrismoon. Lots of good photos there, I particularly liked the flocking starlings. The Maid here says they used to call them tea leaves when they were young, though not because of their thievery I think. We get plenty of wagtails here for some reason, including the yellow ones.
ReplyDeleteThose jackdaws are still very pointy looking. I wonder why they have blue eyes? it's quite striking. thanks for these.
Alex - havea few bird sots so its about time I put up a small collection.
ReplyDeleteJohn - jackdaws are very chatty aswell. There's a film just on the news lately of starlings flocking over Belfast, though in their thousands.
Cheers

Hi ray
ReplyDeleteThat gull hadn't pissed enough people and other gulls off.
Check Herring Gull on wiki and u will see one perched on spikes intended to stop perching.

love it yeah he didn't really want to land there, but seeing they built it specifically to keep him off . . . he felt it rather a duty
