"The day the Holocaust started
Didn't have a date
But ever since then we humans
Have passed through various pearly gates.
Holocaust continues
as clear day follows night
Now some have made it industry
that we may recognise their plight
The idiocy , the privacy
Of one murder over others
Allows for corruption
and the misdeeds that it covers
Holocaust contains you
A shell impervious to question
A shell too tough to crack
Development a- festerin'
What museum to Holocaust
Can honour today's untimely death?
What museum of Holocaust
Contains one human breath?
Looking at the photos
Folded, spindly limbs
Pitted eyes from the past
Now the present dims
Never again!
The exhortation loud
Another hail of bullets
Decimates a crowd
But we will not remember them
For more years and a day
Until they're in a museum
Before which we will pray.
We will pray
And some may weep
And from those slaughtered now
We won't hear a peep
And should we question the past
To solve the problems of today
The shabby priests of Holocaust
Shall ever holler 'Nay'
We must go on
Investigation is a ruse
For you who wish to shift the blame
From those that we accuse
Walk through yesterday's atrocities
Walk through single file
And every time you question
It shall be called 'denial'.
Holocaust continues
In myriad different styles
U could lay today's dead out
And they'd stretch for miles and miles
We could walk along
Watch them decompose
Pretty soon the Holocaust
Would get right up your nose
And there would be no entrance fee!
great poem & thought provoking photos.
